What are the methods of preventing and treating diaper region dermatitis?

A (air), B (barrier), C (cleansing), D (diaper), E (education).
A: Make sure that the diaper area is in as much contact with air as possible.
B: Create a protective oil layer against irritants such as urea and stool using barrier creams containing zinc oxide and make the skin repairs itself under the cream.
C: Gently clean the diaper region with water and a soft cloth or handkerchief at every diaper change, do not rub the skin firmly.
D: Use superabsorbent diapers, avoid cloth diapers. Change the diaper as soon as it gets dirty and at least once in 1-3 hours during the day and at least once during the night.
E: Educate families on diaper region hygiene and good practices on the skin.
